Introduction
My name is Hope. Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers. Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope. When the world says, "Give up," Hope whispers, "Try it one more time. And Once you choose hope, anything's possible.
My name is Ambition. Ambition: is the desire for personal achievement. It provides the motivation and determination necessary to help give direction to life.
My name is Faith. It's (faith) the flower of light in the field of darkness that's giving me the strength to carry on.
Impossible does not exist in my life. Extra Miles and Extraordinary are my other names
Finally, "A computer is like air conditioning, it becomes useless when you open Windows." - Linus Torvalds
Motto
- All of us are smarter than any one of us.
- I’m determined to achieve my goals so either I succeed or I succeed.
- Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.
About Me
amjjawad is my username on Linux Community (Lubuntu, LXDE and Ubuntu). My Real Name is Ali and you can call me AJ. I'm 31 years old, have BSc in Computer Science and I simply breath, drink and eat anything related to IT and/or Technology in general. It is ironic that I did't actually start using Linux until October, 2009. Honestly, I didn't use Linux (it was back then Ubuntu 9.10) except for a week. I was introduced to Linux by a friend from UK (we used to play together a game on Facebook called My Heroes Ability - thanks to Zynga, the game is dead now) and I have never met that friend, I wish I could, hopefully one day. Then, in 2010 after less than a year, preciously in August 2010, I gave it another thought and started to use Linux. Long story short, since that day until now, I have never stopped using, breathing and contributing to Linux and hope I will never stop no matter what. Simply and honestly, Linux has changed my life and I do mean it.
After one year, I joined Lubuntu Team and became one of the most active members on that team with so many responsibilities and tasks.
Two years with Lubuntu Team, I have achieved a lot and have done a lot. One day, I had to make a very tough and hard decision. With great pain and sadness, I had to resign and leave the team, looking for new challenge. Life must go on and no matter what, Lubuntu will forever be in my heart.
Areas of Involvement
When I have decided to take the next move and contribute to Ubuntu Communities and turned from being a user who seeks help and asks Qs to an active advocate and contributor, I have unleashed my power, rolled up my sleeves and started to add my touches almost everywhere. Here is a list of the main areas that I have joined, helped and contributed heavily:
Wiki Area

Social Networking Area
QA Area
Mailing List Area

Support Area
Communications Area
The above list to be updated soon!
The Full History of my involvement, contributions and activities with Ubuntu GNOME Team.
I have officially joined Ubuntu GNOME Team in 22-7-2013. I've accepted the role of QA Lead for Ubuntu GNOME.
Create a Wiki Area for Ubuntu GNOME as it is a young project and because of the lack of manpower, there was only one main page for Ubuntu GNOME but I'm more than ready to create more and work in progress - See this Creator of Ubuntu GNOME One Stop Page
To define my plans or goals, I'd like to list few points here:
The Full History of my involvement, contributions and activities with Lubuntu Team.
I have joined Lubuntu Team in 25-8-2011 and I have resigned in 7-7-2013. Two years, full of achievements and activities. Some of you may not know the fact that I was working with Lubuntu on volunteer basis but FULL TIME. Sometimes, I had to work almost daily from 10 hours - 16 hours. I was almost available online all the time except for the few hours I was sleeping in. Lubuntu was more than just a system. It like my second home. Was in my heart and will forever be.
Team Leader of Lubuntu Communications Team. Team Leader of Lubuntu Support Team. Active Member of Lubuntu QA (AKA Testing) Team. Active Member of Lubuntu Wiki and Documentation Team. Recruiting Members for Lubuntu Team. Founder of Lubuntu Google+ Page. Founder of Lubuntu Official@Twitter. Founder of Lubuntu YouTube Channel. Co-founder of Lubuntu Official Facebook Group. Very active administrator of Lubuntu Official Facebook Page - The page had less than 4000 Likes when I first join when I left Lubuntu Team, it had 82,300 Likes. Administrator of Ubuntu QA Facebook Group. Administrator of Ubuntu QA Facebook Page - still until now. Proficient in writing HOWTOs - please check this section.
After two years with Lubuntu, from being a new beginner user who just started to use Linux for the very first time in his life to a Team Leader in a great and interesting project called Lubuntu; I have gained all the required skills and learned the needed experience to create projects and lead them as well. I've reached to my golden era with Lubuntu because sub-projects within the main project, IMHO, will make the main project stronger and much powerful.
WOW Lubuntu is a project created by myself to enlighten the whole world with the power of Linux generally and Lubuntu specifically and tell the untold story about a unique system that could breathe a new life into an ancient machine instead of breathing the dust somewhere in the dark.
From WOW Lubuntu, the inspiration to create more projects became stronger. Hence, another projects were born from WOW Lubuntu Lubuntu 101 will focus on 3 types of people/users: More details about Lubuntu 101 will be here
