About Me

Greetings, I am the infamous Dr Small, wanted on 2 continents, 3 countries and 5 states Smile :) No. But really, I help out on Ubuntu Forums, and am on the Beginners Team that works in the Absolute Beginner Talk. I do alot of my posting there.

I have written a few bash script, and maintain my own blog here:

http://php.8ez.com/drsmall/blog/

I mainly tinker around with my system and like to try out new things on it, and customize it the way I like it. My favorite applications are [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SSHHowto SSH], John, [https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SSHHowto#head-6407a98aa6275a2fc44114cbca90a76d5eb4222d Xephyr] and [https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IceWM IceWM]. My favorite distribution would be Ubuntu 7.04, as that is what I have installed, and have a tweaked IceWM setup with VistaBlack as the theme.

[https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InternetRelayChat IRC] is another one of my favorite pastimes, because I like to sit around and chat with my friends on #ubuntuforums-beginners on irc.freenode.net and help people out. But because of my limited bandwidth for from my ISP, I have to limit IRC at times, because it is a bandwidth hog...

Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite fictional characters, along with "Dr Small", of whom I stole his name Smile :) I read it in an old book, and he was the villain in the story, but I liked his personality, so I chose the name.
