elementary OS
elementary OS is an operating system based on Ubuntu. The user interface aims to deliver a highly polished and consistent experience. For this purpose it employs applications specially developed for elementary OS, such as Gala, the window manager, and Files, the file manager. Its first release, Jupiter, is based on Ubuntu 10.10, and the subsequent upcoming release, Luna, is based on Ubuntu 12.04.
