• I am member of the Argentina LoCo Team since 27th April 2006. In 17th, April 2007 I've signed the Ubuntu CoC to be completely commited with this community.

• I've been using Ubuntu since February 2006 (5.10 Breezy). My first contact with the GNU/Linux world was on April 2001 when a copy of Red Hat 6.2 came to my hands (I was 16 years old) but I didn't could enjoy it because don't have an internet connection. Then Fedora comes but when I discovered Ubuntu, something change in my mind and I never replace it. Today, I use Ubuntu at home with my girlfriend, and she loves it!
• I decided to be an active member of Ubuntu community because of the amazing people you can find there and its great philosophy.
• I am a Electronic Technician, from the Otto Krause high school and actually I study Electronic engineering, but I never work in electronics matters, always work on IT companies as server administrator or network administrator.

• I am absolute fanatic of Club Atlético Estudiantes de la Plata

• Soy miembro de la comunidad local de Ubuntu en Argentina desde el 27 de Abril de 2006. El 17 de Abril de 2007 firmé lectrónicamente el código de conducta de Ubuntu para estar completamente comprometido con esta comunidad.
• Utilizo Ubuntu desde Febrero de 2006 en su versión 5.10 Breezy. Mi primer contacto con el mundo de GNU/Linux fue en Abril de 2001 cuando una copia del Red Hat 6.2 cayó en mis manos (tenía 16 años) pero no pude disfrutarlo porque no tenía una conexión a internet en mi casa. Luego vino Fedora pero cuando descubrí Ubuntu, algo cambió en mi cabeza y nunca lo reemplacé. Así es el día de hoy que lo uso en mi casa con mi novia, ¡y a ella le encanta!
• Decidí ser un miembro activo en esta comunidad debido a la maravillosa gente que puedes encontrarte y su gran filosofía.
• Soy técnico electrónico egresado del Otto Krause y actualmente estoy estudiando ingeniería en electrónica, pero nunca trabajé en cosas de electrónica, siempre trabajé en empresas de informática como administrador de redes o servidores.

• Soy hincha fanático absoluto del Club Atlético Estudiantes de la Plata

Local Community

• I started my active local community participation in the Argentina LoCo Team subforum, answer many problems, doubts and all things related with Ubuntu. I make many how to's, for example 0, 1 and 2

• I organize the Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope Release Party in Buenos Aires, in Tazz of Armenia street post. Shaun Dennie (aka vor) was here with us in this opportunity. Pictures here

• I've active participation with Guillermo Lisi in a educational Ubuntu related training course for technical personnel of Fundación Equidad, a foundation that refurbishes and donates PCs to schools and community educational institutions in Argentina. This foundation aims to release PCs with Ubuntu and FOSS software. This training was held from September to December 2008. Pictures here

• In November 2008 I had an active participation in the Fabrica de Fallas (Bugs Factory) in FM Radio La Tribu, in Buenos Aires. A complete open and free weekend with installation room to help users who want to use Ubuntu in their PCs/notebooks, solving from complete installations to issues with video, audio, network configurations and graphics desktops tuning. • I've been also contributing to the Argentina LoCo Team website - Ubuntu-ar - (publishing tutorials)

• I've been helping to create a bigger group of users to make the LoCo Team more involved.

• I was an speaker of the First Argentina Ubuntu Day with Fernando Sismonda and Álvaro Soliverez. Pictures here and here.

• I participated also in FLISOL 2009, in the technical room installing PC's/notebooks Pictures here

• In the second edition of Fabrica de Fallas, November 21st and 22nd 2009 I was in the exclusive Ubuntu technical support room that had a terrific success between the people who arrived with technical problems to be solved and machines to install Ubuntu. Best of all was the participation and very good work of new members of the LoCo Team, mainly in the technical support room Pictures here

Comunidad local

• Comencé a tener participación activa en la comunidad en el subforo del grupo de Argentina respondiendo a muchos problemas, dudas y demás relacionadas a Ubuntu. He realizado muchos tutoriales, entre ellos 0, 1 y 2

• Organicé la fiesta de lanzamiento de Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope en Buenos Aires, en Tazz de la calle Armenia Anuncio Shaun Dennie (más conocido como vor) estuvo entre nosotros en esa oportunidad. Fotos

• Tuve una activa participación junto con Guillermo Lisi en un curso educativo relacionado directamente con Ubuntu en Fundación Equidad para el personal técnico. Equidad es una fundación que se dedica al reacondicionamineto de computadoras que luego las dona a escuelas e instituciones educacionales comunitarias. Esta fundación tiene como objetivo que las computadoras tengan Ubuntu y software libre al momento de la donación. El curso fue dictado entre Septiembre y Diciembre de 2008. Fotos

• En Noviembre del 2008 tuve una activa participación en Fábrica de Fallas en FM La Tribu, Capital Federal, Buenos Aires. Un fin de semana completo en el salón de instalación ayudando a los usuarios que querían instalar Ubuntu en sus PCs/notebooks, resolviendo problemas en la instalación con el vídeo, el audio, las configuraciones de la red, etc.Fotos

• En el interín continué contribuyendo al sitio de Argentina (Ubuntu-ar) publicando tutoriales.

• Fui orador en el primer Ubuntu Day en Argentina con Fernando Sismonda y Álvaro Soliverez. Fotos y más fotos.

• Participé en FLISOL 2009, en el salón de instalación instalando PC's/notebooks Fotos

• En la segunda edición de fábrica de fallas, el 21 y 22 de Novimebre de 2009 estuve en la sala de instalación (exclusiva de Ubuntu) que tuvimos mucha cantidad de gente que trajo severos problemas técnicos para resolver y PC's/notebooks para instalar tambien. Lo mejor de todo fue la participación y el destacable trabajo de los nuevos miembros del equipo, principalmente en la sala de apoyo técnico. Fotos

• Keep organizing Release Parties!
• Spread the word about Ubuntu. I really love to talk about GNU/Linux to people who want to know a little bit more about it.
• Keep working on the web site to make it *the* starting point for all the potential Argentinian users.
• Keep our presence in Free Software events.
• Grow, spread the word and have a bigger community every day.
• Improve my skill to resolve bugs and help people to feel more confortable using GNU/Linux.
