About Me
...And the road becomes my bride... I am stripped of all but pride... So in her I do confide... Rover... Wanderer... Nomad.... Vagabond... Call me what you will!
I am a theoretical physicist by profession. In ancient days when I was a die-hard Debian fan (still am!), I always ran into a dead-end so far as proprietary drivers were concerned, until I decided to give Ubuntu a try; the version I found myself trying out was the Jaunty Jackalope, and voila - I was beholden to the most phenomenal experience I had ever had with any OS; it was then that I was once and for all able to free myself of the `serfdom' (the words of Richard Stallman himself) of a certain other OS detrimental to the long-term health of my machines. Ubuntu it shall be to the grave...
I like to experiment, so that my machine can by all means experience the `latest and the greatest' the open source community has to offer (The only proprietary, and indispensable, piece of software I use is Wolfram's Mathematica), and in this endeavor I do not shy away from treading into uncharted territory. I believe Linux is a philosophy that pervades much more than it is literally meant to, and I wish to see its gospel pervade all.
