Purpose

The purpose of this menu bar is to make a ubuntu-defining look. Also the current menu bar uses up more panel space. The new ubuntu menu bar also lets the users to know what programs the icons on the panel represent.

Features

The new ubuntu menu bar features the ubuntu logo to show “Applications Places System” and six other commonly used programs. When the user put their mouse over the icon, a nice, big graphical tooltip appears telling them what this programs for.
