- I'm using Ubuntu since Dapper. I have previous experience with Unix (Xenix and SCO) as server administrator (sysadmin). When I discovered Linux, Ubuntu in particular, I decided to be an active member of Ubuntu community because of the amazing people you can find there and the great philosophy it has.
I started my active participation organizing the Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex Release Party in Buenos Aires, supporting Tucuman and Cordoba RPs too, in many ways. In this BsAs II RP I have the toaster role, introducing the keynotes speakers for each presentation.
- I've active participation this year (2008) in educational Ubuntu training related meetings for technical personnel of Fundación Equidad, a foundation that refurbishes and donates PCs to schools and community educational institutions of Argentina that wants to release them with Ubuntu and FOSS software.
- On 15 and 16/11/08 I have an active participation in the Fabrica de Fallas (Bugs Factory) in FM LA Tribu Radio, in Buenos Aires, an open and free event with an Ubuntu installation room and booth, supporting users who wants to and use Ubuntu in their PCs/notebooks.
- Also, I am working maintaining main contents for the Ubuntu-ar website since October 2008.
