Katapult is an item launcher for KDE, similar to Quicksilver of MacOS X. This page is used by Kubuntu developers, who want to keep this project alive.

• KAddressbook plugin to search the contacts (send e-mail to..., show details for...)
• Use Kimproxy to search contacts in kopete/konversation (start chat with...)
• spellchecker (type in spell:foo and is reports if it's the correct spelling or no)

• dictionary and thesaurus (type dict:foo and it gives you definitions like dict command)

• web shortcuts (import from konqueror? this could replace spell: and dict:)

• protocols (support protocols from konqueror, e.g. ftp:/ftp.blah.com launches konqueror with this URL.)

• Problem with query of an existing application which is not in the catalog (eg: ls, chmod)
• Don't scale up icons
• Improve usability of the document plugin
