attachment:baishampayan-head.png Hello, I am Baishampayan Ghose and I am an upcoming Ubuntu/Debian Developer from India. I have been using GNU/Linux for the past eight years and Ubuntu ever since Warty came out. I am also a Board member of the Free Software Foundation of India. As of now, I don't have many direct contributions to Ubuntu per se, but I am a regular contributor to the Debian project, which I guess percolates down to Ubuntu anyway. My contributions to Debian & Ubuntu so far are --

• I am the maintainer of the Bengali (bn) translations to the Debian Graphical Installer (Since August, 2005)

• I maintain two Debian packages which are in the main repository, (freetalk & itrans) with more coming up soon [http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=b.ghose@gnu.org.in] (Since December 2005)

• I am a member of the Ubuntu New User Network [https://launchpad.net/people/unp] (Since July, 2005)

• I am the leader of IndianTeam the Indian LoCoTeam [https://launchpad.net/people/indian-team] (Since March, 2006)

• I am an Admin. of the Bengali (bn) translations team in Rosetta [https://launchpad.net/people/ubuntu-l10n-bn] (Since March, 2006)

• I have reviewed/cleaned up patches on motu-reviewers and got the fixes uploaded (Patches given directly to PatrickDavies)

• I have done numerous translations on Rosetta (Since August, 2005)

• I am a member of the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Teams/Science MOTU-Science] Team (Since March, 2006)

• I am a Ubuntu Member (Since March, 2006)
