• Places -> Search for files, should open beagle if installed

• Nautilus could have a search box like firefox

• if an application such as thunderbird is installed, a beagle filter for that applications files/data should be intalled also

[Nmwillard] Currently Beagle is a preinstalled lib file rather then it's original Beagle applet as of Dapper, I noticed Deskbar rather then using libbeagle for its file search it opens up the rather outdated Gnome File search application. I believe better integration of beagle into the Gnome Desktop and Nautilus is needed or a superior meta data search in its place.

• [MikkelKamstrupErlandsen] Deskbar has two Beagle handlers, one "live" one which searches beagle as you type, and another "static"one which just shows an action "Search for XYZ using beagle". Anyway, this spec is very similar to one I created a while ago; IntegratedDesktopSearch.
