Experience

Our group was originally started by some members of the Debian Amazonas User Group in April 2005. New members sign our http://wiki.ubuntubrasil.org/CodigoDeConduta and then they are ready to help out. Our main mailing list generates a pretty hefty tar.gz file each month and we have 19 separate mailing lists covering some of the areas below:

• Regional Teams - We have 7 regional sub groups covering various states in Brazil

• Distro Teams - We have Kubuntu,Edubuntu and Xubuntu distro groups.

• Documentation/Dataminers Teams - We have a Brazilian Documentation team

• Translation Teams - Our translators *rock* - we will take over Launchpad

• Security Team - You know the drill

• Planet - With the intention to put all the information about Ubuntu in one easy to access spot some Ubuntu Brasil users created the Planeta Ubuntu Brasil, an aggregator tool which is the first of its type in the Portuguese Language
