My name is Carla Sella I'm married and have a Son I work in the IT Department of an Italian firm in Vicenza, I deal both with hardware and software.

My passion and hobby is Linux. At home I stared with Mandrake Linux (now Mandriva), I then passed to Kubuntu, Fedora Core (as at work I had Red Hat servers) and then finally now I use Ubuntu.

At work, and not only, I've worked with almost all Windows operating systmems, from DOS to Windows 7, and from Windows Server NT to Windows Server 2008.

Again, for work, I got to know Linux passing from Xenix and SCO UNIX.

Sono la tipica "smanettona" a cui piace un po' tutto quello che ha a che fare con il mondo Linux.

Per un periodo mi sono occupata di programmazione in linguaggio COBOL, sviluppando alcune applicazioni per il gestionale dell'azienda per cui lavoro, attualmente non programmo piu', ma seguo il sistema informatico aziendale (System Administrator), anche se qualche lavoretto di programmazione lo faccio lo stesso. Conosco anche il mondo della virtualizzazione in quanto in azienda abbiamo quasi tutti i server su piattaforma VMWARE.

Per hobby ho creato il sito per il gruppo di modellismo di mio marito, ho sviluppato un'applicazione in Delphi per la gestione delle gare di automodelli.

E' da molto che seguo Linux "in silenzio".
