General status
- New weekly upload, this time for the FF, so earlier in the week
- Unity 4.8.0 landed on time
- with new lenses views, supported by the new API and shared library changes
- with the BFB reshuffle
- with window spread support in ALT-Tab
- and some extra blur (the fallback trigger still needs tuning)
- Unity-QT followed on its heels
- with mostly the same new lenses, but slightly behind, being a bit short-staffed (fixed now)
- Compiz-0.9.5.90 released as well, albeit after the official FF to scatter releases for didrock's own sanity
- test packages available in launchpad.net/~dbarth/+archive/ppa
- fixes decorator performance issues
test plan at at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity/QA/CompizReleaseProcess with additional elements concerning the decorator being tracked in parallel
- we may request a FFE if the test results supports the request; otherwise will fallback to the previous version
- gsettings has been dropped from the scope of O, in agreement with Platform
- Indicators: a significant update of the system indicators was delivered, in particular in the session menu
- UTouch: delivered the last work item on time as well
- Both eog and evince can now benefit from the utouch stack goodness: hurra!
- CJK issue
- Testing continued with OEM, no feedback from the call for testing on u-devel though
- Work on ibus progressing according to expectations; which should have test branches next week, and on track for a solid fix before Beta 1
