General status

  • First development iteration delivered

    • New Unity-2D release, with 19 bug fixes and features (2D-3D gap reduction): https://launchpad.net/unity-2d/+milestone/3.8.8

    • New Unity-GL release - 4.0.1
      • First major Unity release for Oneiric.
      • Moved to Gtk3 for the plugin, kept gtk2 for panel service so we have indicators.
      • libunity-core-4.0 is in Oneric now. Is place to share code between Unity implementations.
      • Integrates bunch of UI fixes that weren't SRU-able
      • gtk3 libunity-misc and libbamf3

    • New overlay-scrollbar released: https://launchpad.net/ayatana-scrollbar/0.2/0.2.1

    • New sound API update, with accompanying sound indicator: https://launchpad.net/indicator-sound/fourth/0.7.1

    • Other indicators: a few updates and bug fixes
    • New sni-qt module (appindicator for QT apps)
    • Uploaded utouch-grail 2.0.0 and utouch-geis 2.1.0 to Oneiric
      • Includes many fixes and improvements
      • Pinch and rotate gestures now include centroid point in events
    • utouch-grail FTBFS in archive due to bug in dpkg (cjwatson is working on it)
  • Late
    • the gtk2-3 shim couldn't make it on time this week
    • libgrip is undergoing cleanup and minor rearchitecting to handle different device class types
      • eog and evince depend on this, so they have been pushed back
    • GEIS higher order gesture layer is still being developed
