DesktopTeam Reporting Page

Welcome to the DesktopTeam reporting page. Every month this page should be filled with bullet points indicating the summary of some of the work you have been working on. As you work on something, try to summarise it here. A few guidelines for how to write good points here:

  • Keep it simple and short - single sentences are best. Smile :)

  • Try to summarise your work and not be over-detailed - we don't need to know specifics, just a summary of the kind
  • Where possible, include relevant links.

You should get all your reporting included here by the 22nd of every month.

The Report

Add your report items here.

  • Added two gtk themes for testing. Neither use the Ubuntulooks engine; One is based on Clearlooks and the other (currently set to default) uses Murrine.
  • Jockey now correctly configures the fglrx driver for ATi cards, including working with compiz (pitti)
  • Laptop battery handling should behave itself again (pitti)

  • Prepared a new 'bug-kill-o-zap' hal upload; widespread testing and feedback heavily appreciated! https://launchpad.net/~pitti/+archive

  • Successful upgrade from gutsy to hardy with ~5300 packages.

  • Lots of testing/fixing for dapper->hardy upgrades.

Added on/after March 26:

  • Suspend/resume should now work on a lot more machines. (pitti)
  • GNOME session startup is now faster again. (seb128, mvo, pitti)
