Get the atmel wireless drivers from synaptic (atmelwlandriver-source) if you are having problems. The card has been buggy in the past, but appears to work well now. The retractable Xjack antenna makes it worth having! |

Open System Access Point and WEP work out of the box. For WPA-PSK I needed to install wpasupplicant (not included in Ubuntu). I used the Debian Sid package without any problem. This card also works with ndiswrapper. I used a D-Link DI-624+ router to test it. (upgraded firmware of the router, not related to linux nor the wifi card, router rebooted itself even when connecting a windows machine with a ethernet cable, applied last firmware, now doing fine) |

Does not work for me unless I recompile the pci_acx module with latest patches. After that it works. WEP not yet supported for acx111 cards. Added_note: I confirm this card does not work with a default Hoary install: despite the fact that it worked fine with my Hoary install from Array 5. Go figure. The fault seems to be related to an error in loading the firmware which is present in the hotplug firmware folder. |
