Everything works except: To use dual monitors had to install the proprietary drives (install was automatic once I told it to). Two Samsung SyncMaster 205BWs, had to edit the xorg.conf to use the native 1680x1050 resultion of the monitors. XPS 400 is unusable because network fluctuates between 300B/s and 7K/s, dual boot set up with x86_64 install of Kubuntu 7.10. Disabled core, same issue, installed a 10/100 Realtek NIC, same result. Booted of 32-bit 7.10, same result, reboot into Windows, same download from same URLs get 5-8MB/s. Please help, everything is so much faster and more responsive than Windows XP but I can't use Ubuntu because the network won't work correctly. Please help me diagnose the problem. Thanks. |
