• ഉബുണ്ടു IRC ചാനലുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ താങ്കള്‍ freenode ചട്ടങ്ങളും രീതികളും(അവരുടെ വെബ്ബ്സൈറ്റില്‍ പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ) വായിച്ചതായും അതു adhere ചെയ്യുന്നതായും, താഴെ പറയുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ സമ്മതിക്കുനതായും സൂചിപിക്കുന്നു:

ചാനല്‍ ചട്ടങ്ങള്‍

• എല്ലാ ഉബുണ്ടു ചാനലുകളിലും(ഇനി പറയുന്ന പേരില്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്ന എല്ലാ ചാനലുകളും ഇതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടും- #ubuntu, #kubuntu, #xubuntu, #edubuntu, and #ubuntustudio) എല്ലാ ഉപഭോക്താകളും ഉബുണ്ടു പെരുമാറ്റച്ചട്ടം(Ubuntu Code of Conduct) എല്ലാ സമയത്തും പാലികേണ്ടതാണ്. ഈ പെരുമാറ്റച്ചട്ടം ഉബുണ്ടുവിന്റെ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും പ്രധാന ഘടകമാണ്, IRCയും ഇതില്‍ നിന്ന് വിപരീതമല്ല.

• താങ്കള്‍ ചാനലില്‍ കയറുമ്പോള്‍ വിഷയവും സ്വാഗത സന്ദേശമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍(ChanServ അയക്കുന്ന അറിയിപ്പിന്റെ രുപത്തില്‍) അതും ശ്രദ്ധികണം,അതു താങ്കള്‍ക് ചില ചാനലുകളുമായി ബന്ധപെട്ട പ്രത്യേക ചട്ടങ്ങളെ കുറിചുള്ളതും, പിന്നെ ചാനല്‍ ലോഗിങ്ങിനേ(Channel Logging) കുറിച്ചുള്ളതുമായ പ്രധാനപെട്ട വിവങ്ങള്‍ നല്കാന്‍ ഇടയുണ്ട്.

• IRC Guidelines പ്രധാന ചാനലുകളില്‍(Core Channels) പാലികേണ്ട പ്രധാന ചാനല്‍ ചട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ഉള്‍ക്കൊള്ളും, എല്ലാ ഉപഭോക്താകളും എല്ലാ സമയത്തും ഇത് പാലികേണ്ടതാണ്.

Logging

• Some of the Ubuntu IRC channels are publicly logged on the internet, channels which are publicly logged will have "ubuntulog", and some may have other external logging bots.

• When joining a channel which is publicly logged, either ChanServ will send you a notice when you enter the channel informing you that it is logged, or it may be noted in the channel topic.

• By participating in one of these channels you agree to have anything you send to the channel publicly stored or processed on http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/, or other external sites. (Note: these sites are also indexed by search engines, such as Google).
