We recently uploaded the linux-3.7.0-2.8 Raring kernel package. Since then we have rebased to the latest upstream v3.7-rc6 kernel. We intend to do another upload by EOD Wed Nov 21.

We have also uploaded this kernel to the ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/q-lts-backport PPA to facilitate testing of the
13.04 kernel in 12.04. A newer r-lts-backport PPA was recently opened. Going forward we will upload there. Please test and let us know your results.
We have rebased our Raring kernel to the latest upstream v3.8-rc2 Linux kernel. We are holding off on uploading until we resolve some DKMS package build failures. We anticipate these being resolved by end of week and will plan to upload shortly thereafter. This will be the first v3.8 based Raring kernel uploaded to the archive. We will continue to remain on the v3.8 kernel for the remainder of the 13.04 cycle.

With the Precise 12.04.2 point release also nearing, we are planning on skipping a kernel SRU cadence for Precise to allow for an additional 3 weeks of testing/baking for the kernel that will land in the 12.04.2 point release.

What was done engineering wise?

We have rebased our Raring kernel to the latest upstream v3.8-rc2 Linux kernel. We are holding off on uploading until we resolve some DKMS package build failures. What's about to land that might impact the other teams and release as a whole?

With the Precise 12.04.2 point release also nearing, we are planning on skipping a kernel SRU cadence for Precise to allow for an additional 3 weeks of testing/baking for the kernel that will land in the 12.04.2 point release.

Dependencies on other teams to make deliverables, blocking items, release wide concerns?
