Current Issues (Feisty)

X starts but not with the correct resolution. During the installation the window is too big so its bottom doesn't fit in the screen. I had to push the buttons blindly and used the tab key to navigate. There is no 3-D acceleration and there is no sound. Ubuntu doesn't like this laptop.

Problematic hardware:

  • Video card: VIA VN896 Chrome9 HC
  • Sound card: VIA HD Audio Codec VT8237A
