Functionality issues present in Ubuntu releases
This section describes problems I have experienced while running Ubuntu Hoary, Breezy, Dapper, Edgy, Feisty and/or Gutsy on this laptop. For more information, please see the individual reports.
- Fingerprint reader not working by default (out of the box)
- Hard drive shock protection not providing feedback/not working by default (out of the box)
If laptop was connected to the X4 Ultrabase dock at boot time, then suspend-to-ram hangs the machine; see Launchpad bug #30410 -- MichaelShulman
- In Feisty, POST_VIDEO=false is required in /etc/default/acpi-support for functional resume from suspend-to-ram
