   1 daily live cd january 30 2007 also  herd3 downloaded 2/2/07   msi k8tneo2, 2gb ddr, nvidia fx5200 128mb (using default driver) pchdtv 5500. all I did to get the pchdtv working was install dvb-utils , modprobe cx88-dvb ( I did not modprobe -rv anything)  scan the us-atsc channels (it did not generate a channels.conf so I copied and pasted the dump from the terminal)  , install mplayer and after running mplayer once to generate the ~/.mplayer dir copied the channels.conf file I had pasted from the terminal into .mplayer and run mplayer dvb://  (note no 0) and it tuned and played back the first station in the list with no problem except  pixelation, and sound disapears after 8 sec if the picture is large and is ok if the image is small I suspect this may be caused by a non optimal video driver. tunes channels with  h and k .If I ran mplayer dvb://0 it bitched about no channel 0  . no dmesg output was generated about mplayer.
