Jaunty Throw Down

  • The 9.04 release is shaping up to be the best Ubuntu release ever. The Rochester Loco and Syracuse Loco are coming together for this special event in a combined public event celebrating the release. We are having a public demonstration and explanation of Jaunty Jackalope followed by a pizza party and install fest afterwards.

Public Awareness

  • The first half of the half will have presentation by the our Loco team members about Ubuntu, 9.04, and open source software. Demo systems will be set up for people to check out the new OS and see some of the diverse application of the operating system.
  • 2:00 PM First Talk
  • 2:30 PM Second Talk
  • 3:00 PM Third Talk
  • 3:30 PM Fourth Talk

Computers with Jaunty Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu will be available for hands-on experience. Other derivatives may also be present with enough computers being available.

Release Party
