The event started promptly at 10am and went on as late as 7:30pm at night. The event was broadcast using ustream and watchers commented that both the video and audio was very good. The event was a combination of bug solving as well as discuss/debate FOSS, Pool, and enjoying face to face interaction with other ubuntu members.

Ubuntu Global Jam
The New York State Ubuntu LoCo is proud to announce that it will be holding a live event coinciding the the Ubuntu Global Jam around the weekend of 26th - 28th March 2010.
The Global Jam incorporates many different 'Themes' all of which will be celebrated the Saturday of the 27th in Syracuse NY.
Bugs - finding, triaging and fixing bugs.
Testing - testing the new release and reporting your feedback.
Upgrade - upgrading to Lucid from Hardy or Karmic and reporting your upgrade experience.
Documentation - writing documentation about how to use Ubuntu and how to join the community.
Translations - translating Ubuntu and helping to make it available in everyone's local language.
Packaging - work on Ubuntu packages and improve them.
Other - other types of contribution such as marketing, packaging, advocacy etc.
