Release Party Ubuntu 7.04 in New York - NYC

We would like to throw a party to celebrate the Ubuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" release, open for everybody interested.

  • Time

    • 3:30PM till whenever we get tired Smile :)

      • There is an installfest hosted by LUGOR saturday morning from 9 to 3. The Release Party will take place about half an hour after the Installfest is finished.

      • You can register for the installfest at http://www.lugor.org/.

      • Cafe (wifi would be good)
  • Activities
    • Hand out Ubuntu Feisty CDs, with a Support Number/email on it (sticky labels?)
    • Watch a DVD on a big screen (possibly on a laptop)
    • Ubuntu Trivia perhaps?
  • Funding
    • Split total cost of snacks
    • Everyone buys their own meal
    • Rich dude with a big heart.
    • School willing to fund a technology event
