My relationship with Ubuntu
Discovering Ubuntu and the free world
I first used Ubuntu in October 2010 when 10.10 was released. I discovered it by accident as I was surfing the Web. It piqued my interest as a different operating system, and I had never seen before any free operating system. Until then I was clearly only a Windows user. I had never read before about open source and free software. Then Ubuntu booted for the first time on my PC. Outstanding . Stable - Fast, no need for external device drivers, everything worked out of the box!
Currently
Currently, I'm working on several projects focused more on our local Ubuntu(GR) team. Since Nov 2012 I'm an Official Ubuntu Member, and I'm trying to keep my contribution to Ubuntu Community significant and sustained.
Future
I will continue using, testing and advocating Ubuntu and contributing in any way I can to spread FOSS and make it qualitative.
Contribution
Active member in Ubuntu-GR Forums (nickname: Learner). Actively participating and helping in Ubuntu-gr Forums, currently with over 8000 posts.
Member in Official Ubuntu Forums with currently over 2000 posts. These posts are for assisting others.
Participation in Ubuntu QA. Testing-Kernel and member of QA-tracker for various tests, Unity included.
Actively participating in ubuntu-discourse.
Participation in translations in Greek language and to Ubuntu Manual.
Created the "Ubuntu-Greece-QA" team.
