The developer says the package comes in default Ubuntu installation. Putting up the button would be unfair with the other distros, he says.

One developer agreed, I changed the wiki but then another developer said that he doesn't want to advertise one distribution particularly and if they would it will be Kubuntu in this case. They did agree to add apt:// link on site. One more reason was that non-Ubuntu users won't press on the button anyway because it says "Download for Ubuntu". They agreed to talk on this subject with the others members.

Ubuntu Q: Why link to https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/<myapp> when we could directly link to apt://<myapp>?

Ubuntu A: We recommend to link to apps.ubuntu.com mainly because non-Ubuntu users won't be able to load an apt URL. It also means that we can show people the ratings and reviews and other potential features for non-Ubuntu users.

Ubuntu Q: Will this image change in the (close) future? (for example: new design; dynamic image for i10n; etc...) Because at the moment it links to a (non dynamic) image from an upload wordpress folder, and future changes will mean, with the current link, must contact again every project site.
