Publication of release notes on the wiki

I noticed that release notes for Ubuntu Studio are published at https://ubuntustudio.org/category/release-notes/.

If the Ubuntu Studio maintainers are publishing release notes on the official website for Ubuntu Studio, what is the motivation for also maintaining them in the Ubuntu wiki? Shanecrowley (talk) 07:52, 30 September 2026 (UTC)

For posterity, it has been indicated to me that the Ubuntu Studio maintainers plan to move their content to this wiki.

this kind of contents may need a catagory and a banner in the top.

I think if it's standalone, legitimate content that is unlikely to require significant updates (like release notes for a specific version), then a permanent notice is not needed.

However, if we want to indicate that this is imported content that will need some fixing up and reformatting then we could use the existing {{tidying}} template/notice. Shanecrowley (talk) 09:08, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
