Desktop test automation

  • Alpha 3 - Two application tests written and running in a VM

    • Done - gthumb and nautilus

  • Alpha 4 - Installer testing to help with image testing from Alpha 4 - Build on Evan's work on pre-seeding the graphical installer. Work with Evan and others at the distro sprint to get this polished.

    • BLOCKED on getting dogtail and ubiquity to play nice

  • Alpha 5 - Implement basic desktop tests cases from Testing/Cases and select tests from FixesToVerify

  • Alpha 6 - A medium scale test setup running on one or more dedicated machines producing useful early-breakage warnings of key features
