New Features in UbuntuKylin 13.10 Alpha 1 Release

Since UbuntuKylin 13.04 Release, 13.10 Alpha 1 fixed 15 bug, besides improvements in Ubuntu. We improve three applications and choose Chromium as the candidate browser.

upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.4, add singer information on the searching results, change the name of “download” button to “listen” , and set the default image of songs transparent.

upgrade from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6, fix the bug that PM2.5 sometimes is invalid, add temperature information on indicator, and modify information update time.

upgrade from 0.7.6 to 0.7.8, add Chinese festivals on the calendar and add new skin, fix the bug in KDE desktop, the bug on interface and the bug about the icon in Dash.

System Requirements

A Pentium II or Celeron system with 512 MB of RAM is probably a bottom-line configuration that may yield slow yet usable system with a standard UbuntuKylin desktop.

13.10 32 bit ISO require your CPU to have Physical Address Extensions, or PAE. "PAE is provided by Intel Pentium Pro and above CPUs, including all later Pentium-series processors (except most 400 MHz-bus versions of the Pentium M)." - If you have a NON-PAE CPU and would like to install Ubuntu 12.10, please see this link or you can use Ubuntu 12.04 instead. For Intel based Macs, UbuntuKylin 13.10 should run on all models.
