I think "Install various accessibility features" isn't practical, because this is the live CD -- either something is already installed, or it can't be used at all until after the OS itself is installed. The dialog invoked from "press the Space key now" should instead be useful, presenting the actual accessibility options available on the live CD. -- MatthewPaulThomas |
Welcome screen
"For accessibility help while installing, press the Space key now." -- At the moment there is no appropriate accessibility wizard to launch from here. There is the Gnome Assistive Technology Preferences, which at least gives you an impression of what features are available. If we could add a button to that window that in turn launches 'Add Applications' then there would be a more clear path.

This would allow users to install various accessibility features before proceeding with the HD installation. It may be argued that the purpose is defeated if the user needs help first to install these features, but it still helps. It's nice to have the system properly set up so you can read or hear the instructions clearly when it comes time to do critical operations like partitioning your drive. Also, it's nice to see that you can actually use the system comfortably before committing to an install.

General navigation
All the windows should have complete keyboard navigation, ideally without the need to press modifier keys. It should be possible to tab trough all the elements in a window.
AT-SPI
Ensure that the UbuntuExpress interface uses the appropriate Gnome AT-SPI infrastructure so that the standard AT tools can read out the required information.
