General and Accounts

  • 2012-09-14 Emails being sent from Ubuntu One, including registration, forgot password, share invites, etc. are taking longer than usual to be delivered. We're looking into this.

  • If you have received a message telling you that the subscription has been canceled this may be due to a renewal payment failure due to the credit card expiration. In this case please subscribe to the storage service with your new card. All your data will remain intact.

Files

  • 2012-09-14 Performance issues with slow file downloads have been improved. We're still working on making further adjustments to improve performance even more.

Contacts

  • Syncing of contacts is no longer available in Ubuntu 12.04. Syncing contacts in other versions of Ubuntu is known to not work due to server issues. We are currently working on revamping the data sync infrastructure, with the server side component coming first, then clients. Ubuntu 12.10 will have the first developer oriented client library.

MobileContacts

  • Mobile contacts sync is inactive as of June 1, 2011. For more info see the following blog post. Our replacement for mobile contacts is still in development. The underlying technology driving it has a developer preview available and continues to undergo heavy development and testing.

MusicStreaming

  • 2012-09-10 Tracks showing up as "Unknown" should be resolved for most users.

  • Users with larger music libraries (around 7,000+ songs) will likely experience timeouts playing music. We are working on a solution. If you are impacted by this, please contact Ubuntu One support: https://one.ubuntu.com/help/contact

MusicStore

  • 2012-09-14 We fixed the problem preventing those in the following countries from completing their payments in the new music store: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

  • Some music purchases may result in 0 byte tracks. If this happens to you please contact support: https://one.ubuntu.com/help/contact

Notes

  • The notes web interface is no longer active. Syncing notes through Tomboy is still active but managing notes on the Ubuntu One web site is no longer available. Please see our blog post for more information.
