General and Accounts

If you have received a message telling you that the subscription has been cancelled this may be due to a renewal payment failure due to the credit card expiration. In this case please subscribe to the storage service with your new card. All your data will remain intact.

• 2012-05-25 - A bug was found affecting new users who subscribe through Ubuntu One Control Panel that creates duplicate accounts when re-subscribing through the web site.

• 2012-05-04 - Overall performance should be back to normal after extremely heavy traffic due to the successful adoption of Ubuntu 12.04.

Files

• 2012-06-11 - From June 4 through early June 11, some users may have experienced problems with large files appearing to have been uploaded but then not being complete on the server. Symptoms of this issue include going to https://one.ubuntu.com/files and trying to download a file but the file not downloading or returning an error and published files returning an error of "could no locate object". We have put in a temporary fix to stop this behavior and are working on fixing impacted user accounts.

Contacts

• Syncing of contacts is not working for some users due to server issues. On 2011-10-10 we released an update to all clients to help ease the load on the server and improve reliability of syncing.

MobileContacts

• Mobile contacts sync is inactive as of June 1, 2011. For more info see the following blog post. Our replacement for mobile contacts is still in development. The underlying technology driving it has a developer preview available and continues to undergo heavy development and testing.

MobileStreamingMusic

• 2012-06-13 - Music streaming may be slow or returning errors for some users. We're looking into this and working on a fix.

• Users with larger music libraries (around 7,000+ songs) will likely experience timeouts playing music. We are working on a solution. If you are impacted by this, please contact Ubuntu One support: https://one.ubuntu.com/help/contact

MusicStore

Notes

• The notes web interface is no longer active. Syncing notes through Tomboy is still active but managing notes on the Ubuntu One web site is no longer available. Please see our blog post for more information.

Bookmarks

• Bookmarks sync is no longer an active service. Please see our blog post for more information.
