Randall Ross writes that an announcement "has been in the works for months" and looks back over the five and a half years of the Lo``Co's existence. He summarizes why the term "Lo``Co" should not be used, says: "It's time for a change" and, using a new logo, announces "Ubuntu Vancouver."

He says that he has a working prototype, and links to a session at the recent Online Summit.

=== Jono Bacon: Ubuntu Governance: Reboot? ===

Jono Bacon questions the purpose and effectiveness of Ubuntu's comprehensive governance structure of boards and councils, saying that it saddens him to see that much of the discussion at meetings focusses on paperwork and administration. We are not a LoCo: Ubuntu Vancouver Loco's Last Day

Randall Ross writes that an announcement "has been in the works for months" and looks back over the five and a half years of the LoCo's existence. He summarizes why the term "LoCo" should not be used, says: "It's time for a change" and, using a new logo, announces "Ubuntu Vancouver."
