Lukas Märdian tells us he has been evaluating the use of iwd [0] as a wireless daemon in Ubuntu. We are told what that means, and he provides a list of test-cases if you're willing to help test; using either the development release (Groovy/20.10) or Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Linux Kernel 5.8 Gets First Point Release, It’s Now Ready for Mass Adoption

Marius Nestor reminds us that Linux Kernel 5.8 is dubbed one of the biggest kernel releases due to its many new features, additional hardware support and security enhancements. Listing some of these details, we are then told Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced 5.8.1 with a number of bug fixes. Links are, of course, provided.

LibreOffice 6.4.6 Office Suite Update Arrives with 70 Bug Fixes, Download Now

Marius Nestor informs us that the Document Foundation has released LibreOffice 6.4.6, including 70 bug fixes, which should improve interoperability with proprietary formats.
