Ubucon Asia 2021 - Looking for organizers

Youngbin Han of the Ubuntu Korean LoCo is trying to organize a virtual conference with other LoCos in the Asia region, and is seeking help to organize UbuCon Asia 2021. Youngbin has provided some details, and associates need not be from the Asian region to help.

Marius Nestor alerts us to the release of LXQt 0.16.0 with many fixes and improvements. Included are new themes, notifications, plus better support for Bluetooth audio devices. Numerous other new features are mentioned, with links provided.

Ubuntu Touch OTA-14 Released with Better Support for Volla Phone, More Android 9 Devices

Marius Nestor tells us that UBports have released the Ubuntu Touch OTA-14 for Linux smartphones and tablets. It improves support for Android 9 devices especially the shipping-soon Volla Phone. Listing many of the improvements in this release, he tells us we should be able to update to it in the coming days by following provided instruction if we have a supported device.
