Xfce’s Apps Update for June 2021 Brings New Releases of Ristretto, Xfce Settings, and More
Marius Nestor updates us on the June developments for the Xfce desktop environment. Marius points to the image viewer as a "new major release", notes some bug fixes, updated translations, and code cleanup. He highlights improvements to Xfce Settings manager, keyboard selection; as well as the updates to various utils and libraries on the road to the upcoming Xfce 4.18 release. Finally is an accolade for those students that participated in this year’s GSoC for their work on Thunar and other Xfce apps.

Snap Windows to Corners in Ubuntu Using WinTile
Joey Sneddon, in this 'howto' post, tells readers how to enable "quarter tiling on the Ubuntu desktop" using the GNOME WinTile extension. He tells us the default tiling provided with Ubuntu allows only edge tiling, or full-screen. This tool will allow you to drag a window to the corner and use a quarter of your display.
