Here is were I will be spending most of my time helping others. I will be found in #ubuntu-beginners or #ubuntu-beginners-team. The fine folks at in the beginners channel helped me out quite a bit as I converted over to Ubuntu. Just trying to give back. Here is the place I probably will be spending the majority of my time as I try to help others. Listed below are the channels that I can be found.

Hello, for as long as I can remember computers have fascinated me. From my first experiences to Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS to my more resent experiences on Ubuntu, I've loved it all. I first hear of Ubuntu probably 5 years ago. I was intrigued with a free OS, but never got around to installing it. Recently I finally took the plunge and set up a dual-boot with Windows XP.

Community Involvement

I've not had much community involvement, but would like to help out as I was. I've been hanging out in the Absolute Beginners sub forum and #Ubuntu-beginners channel to help as I can. Hoping to learn more to allow me to help other beginners.

Forums

When I get the opportunity, I can be found at one of these forums, trying to help out others as my knowledge allows me.

IRC

Here is the place I probably will be spending the majority of my time as I try to help others. Listed below are the channels that I can be found.

Teams & Focus Groups

Only starting to get involved, I'm not currently a member of any Teams or Focus Groups. But I'm looking to join the Teams/Groups below.

Ubuntu Beginners Team

I'm not currently a member of this team, but working on getting my membership. I was helped by a few really nice people from this team and want to repay the community.

Support Team

This is one of the teams that I'm looking to join once I'm a member of the Ubuntu Beginners Team. I would like to help the people that are making that jump to Ubuntu.

Documentation

This is the other team that I am considering. Again this is a way to support new users.

Projects & Goals

Current

  • Help beginner users on IRC, forums & launchpad

  • Obtain a Master from the Ubuntu Beginners Teams for me to learn the ways of the linux.

Future

  • Become a member of the Ubuntu Beginners Team.
  • Join a Focus Group in the Ubuntu Beginners Team.
  • Continue to help other users on IRC, forums & launchpad as my knowledge of Ubuntu grows.

Testimonials

None. Sad :(
