Firestarter (firewall) BR * Check status, if working. BR sudo /etc/init.d/firestarter status BR * Add Firestarter to start-up programs. BRSystem > Preferences >Sessions BR Click: BRAdd BR Enter the text: BRsudo firestarter --start-hidden
HDD (mount a 2nd Hard Disk Drive for data storage) BR 1. Make a directory. BR sudo mkdir /media/storage BR 2. Edit the HDD mount configuration file. BR sudo gedit /etc/fstab BR 3. Add the HDD (eg hdb1) to the location created at step 1. BR /dev/hdb1 /media/storage ext3 defaults 0 0 BR 4. Mount the HDD. BR sudo mount /dev/hdb1 -t ext3 /media/storage
