Hello! I'm Alexandre Vassalotti. I'm Ubuntu fan since the 5.04 release, the Hoary Hedgehog. My main interests in Ubuntu are support, documentation, packaging, software development and cheerleading. (Am I missing something? :) ) All that, means the same thing to me: "Build a platform for peoples." That's my mantra. Hello! I'm Alexandre Vassalotti. I am a Ubuntu fan (or should I say addict) since the 5.04 release, the Hoary Hedgehog. It was my first real introduction to a Linux system. Since then, I never stopped to enjoy learning to use it.

My main interests in Ubuntu are support, documentation, packaging, software development and cheerleading. (Am I missing something? :) ) In short, I love doing anything that is somehow related to Ubuntu.

About Me

Smile :) ) In short, I love doing anything that is somehow related to Ubuntu.

Contributions

Here a list of some of my contributions.

Documentation

  • UbuntuPackagingGuide: I worked with JordanMantha for creating this guide. Since I didn't really knew anything about packaging, when I started it, my contributions were mainly geared toward describing the tools packagers uses. I also written the section called Packaging with Debhelper.

Bug Report

Particularly like this one, because it's one of those bug that's only triggered after an exact sequence of steps. It's like a secret code for crashing the application. This is just my favourite bug reports. For the complete list, look in [https://launchpad.net/people/thecore/+reportedbugs?field.searchtext=&orderby=-importance&field.status%3Alist=Unconfirmed&field.status%3Alist=Needs+Info&field.status%3Alist=Confirmed&field.status%3Alist=In+Progress&field.status%3Alist=Fix+Committed&field.status%3Alist=Fix+Released&assignee_option=any&field.assignee=&field.status_upstream=&field.status_upstream-empty-marker=1&field.omit_dupes.used=&field.has_patch.used=&field.tag=&search=Search launchpad].

Support

I try my best to answer support requests on Launchpad. The list can be found here: [https://launchpad.net/people/thecore/+tickets] I also started a [https://launchpad.net/people/ubuntu-helpteam new team] which is goal is to provide free support to Ubuntu users.
