About me

My name is Andrea Veri, I'm eighteen years old and now i live in udine in the northern italy. I'm a lover of linux , i use it from about two years, i have tried a lot of different distros too : debian, fedora, mandrake, red hat, suse but five month ago a friend told me to try Ubuntu, i installed it and i discovered that ubuntu was really the best distro of all. I started working with internet when i was ten making a lot of websites using html and php, i have also i have a direct connect network that count a lot of users. I know very well apache, mysql and other software related to build a server because i had the possibility to work with a linux server administrator owner of a big hosting company. I can say now to be an expert in administration and moderation of a forum because i spent a lot of time to do both things , starting with building it and to put on all possible mods. I can finish my about me space with giving good luck to Ubuntu(most ranked page on distrowatch.com) and to its creators, that in my opinion have started a new open source age.

Ubuntu

Alwais before using a new OS i search in internet for good and bad characteristics of that ,i did the same thing in this case but this time i payed attention also to the philosophy of Ubuntu creators ,not only to the software characteristics: i saw all creator comments on the main page of ubuntu.com ,free of charge software ,easy to customise in whatever way a user want. That words created in me a very good impression ,2 minutes later i was downloading the latest Ubuntu release ,1 hour later Ubuntu was installed and operative into my computer.

Ubuntu-it

Two-three weeks ago i discovered loco teams on ubuntu.com website,i went to locoteamslist and i noticed italian one, from that day i started to read wiki pages and informations about this team. Then i decided to meet one of the developers , so i went to irc and i started talking with him and later with another important member of the locoteam, they have given me a lot of informations about the way how they operate and how they are organized, all was clear and precise, their philosophy impressioned me like the one of Ubuntu creators.Creating a community, give help to newbies and diffusing ubuntu were the main points ,some time later i decided to give them an hand, and now im here, writing this wiki page to introduce myself to the community to start helping my national locoteam . If who is reading this page is italian i suggest you to see ubuntu-it community web page, forum and wiki, at this links :
