Who I am
I am Bethany Jamison, and I've been apart of the kernel team since October of 2023. I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the US and graduated spring of 2023. This is my first full-time job, but I've done internships with app development and robotics during school.
Examples of my work
I am on the security team and mostly fix CVEs when I am not cranking kernels for either the security or SRU cycle.

Things I could do better
I think I have a good grasp on the cranking process, but I should look more deeply into how our tools work so I can understand how the kernels are really being built.
Plans for the future
I am learning about Livepatch and will try to get involved with that work.

I helped Bethany with the sru process since she joined a few months ago. Bethany learns things very fast and she managed to take a pretty big workload in a short amount of time which is impressive. When help is needed, Bethany does not hesitate to ask, therefore I fully trust her with upload rights.

I have reviewed a couple of kernels for Bethany and also several patch submissions she did. The kernels I saw were prepared well and I had nothing but rare suggestions for minor improvements. Bethany worked on many security backports and to me those had usually no complaint. In the few cases there was those were taken into consideration. I expect Bethany to make careful use of PPU rights and therefor am recommending to approve her application.
Suggestions for Improvement
When doing exchange on the kernel-team mailing list it helps a lot to have quick replies even if it is just a "will get to that later". If that could be some time then probably even closing a matter by self-NACKing could be an improvement since we then can purge the thread for the moment.
