Introduction

libmtp brings the Media Transfer Protocol to Linux/GNU. It's based on libptp2, libgphoto2 and libnjb.

How to file a report

Please file a new report via a terminal:

ubuntu-bug mtp-tools

Information to include in your report

1. If libmtp can't autodetect your player, please add the vendor and device ID from the following terminal command after attaching the device in MTP mode:

   lsusb

2. If you don't know what you need to include, please include the entire output of:

   mtp-detect

3. Attach uncompressed and untarred the entire /var/log/kern.log file.
