Colin King is a Canonical employee and Ubuntu core developer. He currently works a Kernel Engineer in the KernelTeam. More info about him can be found at [WWW] https://launchpad.net/people/colin-king |
I am a Canonical employee and currently working as an OEM Kernel Engineer in the KernelTeam. I have worked on various parts of the kernel subsystem, covering unionfs, audio, wifi, ethernet, suspend/resume and I try to sort out weird BIOS issues. I've also contributed to grub by adding UUID support in Intrepid and ext4 support in Jaunty. I have worked on SSD tweaks and analysed boot performance of Karmic using QEMU. My latest project is fwts, the firmware test suite, a tool for validating BIOS/ACPI firmware. I keep a Ubuntu related blog regularly up to date, with regular postings on kernel and system related hints and tips. * Launchpad profile: https://launchpad.net/people/colin-king * Email: colin.king@ubuntu.com * Email: colin.king@canonical.com * IRC: cking * Blog: http://smackerelofopinion.blogspot.com/ Presentations: * http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~cking/presentations/ Projects: * Firmware Test Suite - fwts (ACPI/BIOS firmware testing tool), see https://launchpad.net/~firmware-testing-team I'm currently applying for Ubuntu membership - recommendations most welcome! ------ == Testimonials == [[SteveConklin|Steve Conklin]] (kernel team member and Ubuntu member) I recommend Colin for Ubuntu membership.
