Something about me
Ciao! I'm Dario Cavedon. I'm a young 41 year old "boy" (maybe I'll cut this part, I've to keep it up to date!), I'm married with a wonderful woman and I've got 2 wonderful daughters. Ah! They say that there is also a cat in our family, Minù and a guinea-pig, Mirtilla.
I discovered Ubuntu (and then Kubuntu) in the 2004. Before, I used others operating systems from Windows 3.0 to XP (but not Vista!), then I passed Red Hat Linux, Fedora Core e Mandrake. I like Ubuntu (and Kubuntu in particolar) for the strenght of its Comunity. At home I use Kubuntu, and Ubuntu too, to keep me up to date.
Skills
- I work for an italian bank, in IT department. Most of my spare time is all for my women e my computers.
- I have skill on Project Management, I've done it several times for my job.
- The rest of my spare time is dedicated to Linux - I'm a intermediate user - I like programming, but I don't have enough time to do it!
I'm one of the founder member of AVi LUG, a Linux User Group based at Schio (Vicenza).

The project is very successfull, we have received a lot of interviews, and other people are still sending us their opinion about it.

Testimonials
Dario is a long time contributor with an huge impact on our community. He's a great advocate, I made talks with him and he's always very positive and active. This year he has been elected into the Italian LoCo Council and he organized the first Italian Ubuntu Party. I even didn't known that he wasn't Ubuntu Member yet, we need to fix this

Dario is one of the main forces behind ubuntu-it, with a very strong positive impact in the ubuntu-it activities. Some months ago the people behind ubuntu-it has elected him as a member of the Italian LoCo Council and he really deserves it. I'm sure he deserves the Ubuntu membership, too

Dario is one of the best admin in Italian Community. He is painted by an innate sense of relationship that gives him a brillant ability to reconcile people in conflict (I love that). During last years he has been involved in a lot of projects for Ubuntu, specially marketing and web communication which (in addition to other smaller and daily things) let him becoming a member of the Italian LoCo Council. I support him for membership.

- Dario is a leading personality in the Italian Community. He is always ready to promote and host talks about Ubuntu and Free Software all over our country. He is very motivated and he is a source of inspiration for many of our users. I have no doubts he deserves Ubuntu membership for his huge contributions during those years.

- I know Dario since his very first step in the Italian Ubuntu support Community and I have always been impressed by his sense of generosity and unconditioned cooperation. His "can do" and "get it done" attitude is exemplary. His strong organizational skills make him a person of recognized need in the community and this is the reason that I extend the strongest possible recommendation and support for Dario.
