New Install Checklist

• keyboard and mouse speed, etc.
• select Compiz Fusion
• Firefox - extensions, etc.
• Thunderbird - extensions, etc.
• select additional Synaptic repositories

• install Truecrypt - http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads.php

• swappiness - 'gksudo gedit /etc/sysctl.conf' -> add 'vm.swappiness=10' - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwapFaq

• colour profiler - http://lprof.sourceforge.net/

• Preload - http://www.techthrob.com/tech/preload.php - NOTE - briefly tested and seemed to cause some minor hanging in 8.04A6

• Auto FSCK Disk check util - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AutoFsck

• add Skype repository: "deb http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/ stable non-free"
