Introduction
These release notes for Kubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo) provide an overview of the release and document the known issues.
Support lifespan
Kubuntu 19.04 will be supported for 9 months until January 2020.

Download a Disk Image
Download a Bootable image. Direct downloads, torrents, and zysnc are available as options.

New features and changes in 19.04
Core desktop and applications
Plasma 5.15: simple by default, powerful when needed
Plasma 5.15 has been developed to make it smoother to use while retaining the familiar setup. Kubuntu ships the 4th scheduled bugfix release of 5.15 (5.15.4).
Kubuntu 19.04 is built on and ships with Qt 5.12.2
KDE Applications 18.12.3
Kubuntu comes with KDE Applications 18.12.3 containing all your favourite apps from KDE. Provided is the 18.12.3 update with bugfixes and translation updates. All applications included in KDE Apps 18.12 have been ported to KDE Frameworks 5.
Web browser and office suite
Firefox 66 is the default browser
LibreOffice 6.2.2 is provided by default in the full installation.
Other new and updated applications
latte-dock - The latest stable bugfix release 0.8.8 is now in the ubuntu archive
KDevelop - Now the latest 5.3.2 release in the archive.
Krita - Updated to latest stable 4.1.7 in the archive.
- kde-config-tablet - is now back on the ISO and default install, which implements a KDE configuration GUI for the Wacom drivers.
Other highlights/notes
Plasma Wayland session - Can be installed for testing, but is not supported for 19.04
A Plasma Wayland session can be be made available for testing by installing the package plasma-workspace-wayland , however this is not supported. Users needing a stable desktop experience should select the normal 'Plasma' (without Wayland) option at login.

Older bugs:
