 * The Ubuntu Studio Team have continued to work on Ubuntu Studio Controls for the Cosmic Release. It is possible to set the CPU governor to performance mode, which is important for recording. BIOS settings may need to be changed for this setting to take effect. It is also possible to start and stop Jack, and to change audio settings on the fly. Sensible settings for audio work are also set when the application is first run. Ubuntu Studio Controls can be used as an alternative to QJackctl for most routine audio recording work.  * Ubuntu Studio Controls has been upgraded to Version 1.7. Many changes have been made for the Disco Release, and the following is a summary of some of those changes:
  * Many bug fixes
  * General graphical interface improvements
