Task name: SCIM and OpenOffice testing

Description: Procedure on how to make sure SCIM works well on OpenOffice.

Procedure:

• Install suitable module for SCIM
  • Say for simplified Chinese, install scim-pinyin. Generally, language-pack-* or language-support-* should have installed necessary input modules for you.
• Login under suitable language environment, say japanese or chinese.

• Fire up OpenOffice

• Press Ctrl-Space, check SCIM comes up
  • If there is no problem, SCIM panel should show up at right bottom of screen.
• Type something

  • Just try some random characters on keyboard, characters should be inputted into OpenOffice.
