Nitin K Sookun

Hi. I'm Nitin Sookun, member of LUG Mauritius and also Team Contact for Ubuntu LoCo Team Mauritius. I came in touch with Linux some 10 years back. And since then my Geeky adventure started . Today I work as a Unix Administrator, a passion turned profession.

I also lead a local Linux Team comprising of enthusiasts of several other distros, and we together promote Linux use around the country. We have a common meeting place in Mauritius, which is INDRA Cybercafé. Our LoCo Team provides free support to anybody who is new to Ubuntu, and anyone who seeks some troubleshooting.

Ubuntu:

• Started the first LoCo Team in Mauritius.

• 2010 - Organised Ubuntu Linux event at the University of Mauritius.

• 2010 - Organised a LAN Gaming Event at the University of Mauritius, to demonstrate how to run Counter Strike & several other games through Wine on Ubuntu.

• 2011 - Public demo of Ubuntu at INDRA Cybercafé, Lakepoint Complex, Curepipe.
